I FORGOT MY PASSWORD. WHERE CAN I RESET IT?

To reset your password, go to myidentity.ku.edu and click on the "Forgot your password?" link.

Once you click on the link, you will be prompted to enter your KU Online ID. In order to verify your identity, you will be prompted with the three challenge questions that you created when you first set up your KU Online ID.

After successfully verifying your identity, you will be prompted to change your password which will then be sent to you.

CAN I USE THE SAME CREDENTIALS FOR KU CONNECT THAT I HAVE FOR MYKU PORTAL?

Yes, your KU Online ID and password will be the same credentials for the myKU Portal, Canvas Student mobile app, and KU Connect Learning Management System.

WHAT SERVICES AND INFORMATION ARE AVAILABLE ON MYKU PORTAL?

The myKU portal is a great resource to keep you connected to the University of Kansas.

Within the myKU portal, you can find:

  • Announcements
  • Notifications from registrar
  • Financial aid and financial account information
  • List of courses
  • Library and other administrative university functions

WHICH BROWSERS ARE SUPPORTED FOR THE KU CONNECT LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM?

Your online courseroom supports the following browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 9 and higher
  • Chrome 29 and higher
  • Safari 5 and higher
  • Firefox 23 and higher
  • Flash 10 and higher (if you want to use the audio/video recording or viewing features)
  • Respondus Lockdown Browser 4.0 and higher
Before starting your online program, it is highly recommended to update to the latest version of your browser.

ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS?

Many of your online courses will have additional requirements of which you will need to take advantage. Depending on your courses, you will need software and tools to help prepare for course activities. It is a good idea to have the these tools:

  • Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Acrobat Reader
  • Webcam for video chat (often built into computers)
  • Audio microphone (often built into computers)
  • Speakers (often built into computers)

WHERE DO I DOWNLOAD THE LATEST VERSION OF THE CANVAS STUDENT MOBILE APPLICATION?

iOS users can download the Canvas Student mobile app on the Apple App Store.
Android users can download the Canvas Student mobile app on the Google Play Store.

HOW DO I UPDATE MY PROFILE PHOTO USING THE CANVAS STUDENT MOBILE APPLICATION?

Access the mobile menu and press on the existing picture. From the profile screen, touch the current picture to bring up a menu where you can either choose a photo from your photo library or take one with your camera. The photo will be immediately updated and displayed.

IS THERE A DIFFERENCE IN COURSE CONTENT SEEN IN KUCONNECT.KU.EDU VS. CANVAS STUDENT MOBILE APP?

KU Connect is your integrated online learning platform and the content is synced between KUConnect.ku.edu and the mobile app. Within your program, there may be some content pieces that will be more suitable for desktop. When this is the case, you will see a notification within the mobile app.
